Abstract :
The talk will introduce the listeners to the field of optimization in general and multi-objective optimization in particular. The phases of an optimization are explained through two very different examples within the field of acoustics : Firstly, the design of sound diffusers used in the field of room acoustics and secondly, the design of phase correctors for the treble horns in line arrays loudspeakers.
