Post-Doctorant

Most of my activities focus on sound perception. Currently this concerns research on cochlear implants, in particular the electrode-auditory nerve interface in relation to speech intelligibility. Previous work concerned the psychology of music, auditory time perception, auditory scene analysis, spectral and temporal acuities in normal hearing and hearing impaired, speech perception in fluctuating noise, effects of noise reduction on intelligibility, speech quality, physical metrics for intelligibility prediction and intelligibility improvements for forensic audio. Although no longer actively involved in statistics, ten years of statistical consultancy left its traces by an above average interest in this topic.
