Non-destructive evaluation and control

The researches in this theme mainly revolve around the modeling of materials and the design of appropriate experiments on samples representative of industrial problems. The departure point of each study is the actual material and its use. All CND techniques (ultrasounds, X-rays, Foucault currents, thermography, …) are considered before a particular methodology is selected. Ultrasound waves are often preferred to control and characterize materials, and their propagation is studied in order to infer, through inverse reasoning, the properties or defects that are sought.
