Teaching

Our teacher-researchers offer fundamental and theoretical training in Mechanics, accessible from a variety of scientific backgrounds. The emphasis is on the fundamental knowledge of mechanics, mathematics, physics and computer science required for modeling and experimentation in mechanics, and on the development of essential cross-disciplinary knowledge in mechanics. More applied, technical and technological skills in the design and production of parts and systems are also targeted.

The LMA's teacher-researchers, researchers and engineers pass on their knowledge and expertise through a number of training courses offered by universities (Aix-Marseille Université, Toulon, Le Mans, etc.), engineering schools (Centrale Méditerranée, Polytechnique, Palaiseau, etc.) and IUTs (Aix en Provence, Digne).

The laboratory is involved in the Aix-Marseille Université/Centrale Méditerranée co-accredited training courses:

At Centrale Méditerranée, around ten researchers and teacher-researchers contribute to the teaching of solid mechanics and acoustics: core courses and optional modules such as the third-year in-depth option in mechanics.

At Aix-Marseille Université, the LMA is involved in a number of courses at different levels, from L1 to M2 (Department of Mechanics), as well as in BUT - type courses. Some of the laboratory's teacher-researchers are in charge of a training program.

** Licence professionnelle

** Master

Master Génie Mécanique (Resp. N. Lahellec)

Master Mécanique

Doctoral schools in Engineering Sciences (ED353) & Physics and Matter Sciences (ED352)

As part of training through and for research, the LMA welcomes, supervises and trains around thirty doctoral students each year.

Doctoral training courses are regularly offered by the laboratory's teacher-researchers. The aim of these courses is to provide training for current theses, as well as to deepen and broaden knowledge in the field of mechanics.
